3.5 Stars As far as coffee shops go, Richard's is a pretty nice place. What I liked: 1) Free Wifi | fast, free, and good for when you wanna get some work done 2) Location | centrally located in downtown Winter Haven and it's in the same building as the public library 3) Parking | there's TONS of it -- on the street, in the private lot, and in the free parking garage that's only a block away 4) Food | lots of pastries to pick from, breakfast and lunch offerings, and ice cream 5) Outside Seating | on a beautiful day, it's nice to sit next to the fountain and just chill with some friends 6) Local | this isn't a chain like Starbucks and it's been here forever 7) Service | both baristas were very nice and pleasant the entire time I was there 8) Prices | they were very fair What needs work: 1) Interior | the outside is so bright and airy, but the inside seems to be very cramped and dark; they need to remodel it just a little bit to reconfigure everything and freshen things up 2) Coffee | my coffee was a little weak, if I'm honest; it wasn't the worst, but I think it could be better 3) Website | I'd say their website is 70% there -- it just needs a little more finesse and a grammar check

I am sad. All those nice Bunn machines and the coffee is meh. The atmosphere and staff are nice and it's a comfortable place to hang out but the coffee tastes like Luzianne coffee. I had Columbian coffee and a red velvet cupcake.

Offers a good atmosphere and nice seating areas inside and outside. I haven't tried the food here, but I can say the coffee is not good at all. I tried the iced coffee and frozen cappuccino and I wouldnt recommend them.

This is a great spot. They do a lot for being in Winter Haven. I imagine there isn't a huge demand for coffee shops there, but this place delivers. All of the usual good things about coffee shops -- cheap, high quality, free wifi many options, chill atmosphere -- are present in spades, along with a great location (next to the public library). It's all there, and beats the hell out of 'Bucks.

Beautiful Courtyard with a fountain. Great coffee and service. I enjoyed my salad as well. The prices are competive.

Visited winter haven for the first time, charming town, stopped at this coffee shop and found the coffee to be amazing, I would have rated it higher, but it was very dirty. Counters were dirty, bathroom was not clean and the cream container had sticky stuff on it. That was disappointing for me.

I've been here a few times and it's still just okay. The lattes and coffees are great but twice I've really disliked the bagel I got. They were stale, bland, and dry. For a town seriously lacking in breakfast options, I'm sad to say 3/5 is the best I can rate it ... and that is completely ignoring the fact that the 'outdoor seating' reeked of urine. I attribute that to the location near downtown and likely not something they can control or are at fault for, but it was disgusting.

Wow! Best coffee ever! I travel a lot and try coffee everywhere from fine dining to fast, from coast to coast and everywhere in between. Usually I am unimpressed or downright disgusted by others cup of coffee. All three people in my party ordered different coffee strengths and flavors; all requests were welcomed and accommodated. We all immediately commented on on how awesome our coffee was...even saying how we would be here every morning of our visit now!

Coffee drinks are good, but sandwiches and salads are better! Excellent Pressed Cuban and Chicken Salad sandwiches. Now if they only had ice cream........

I really enjoy this place, staff always smiles when u walk in making your experience genuine. I'm a coffee guy and sandwich guy when lunch roles around. That's what they're pretty good for. Indoor/outdoor, Eating there it can get a little cramp at lunch time, but I've noticed many coffee shops like that. I like this Richard's and will continue to stop by as long as I work within walking distance.

This is the best place to sit and chill with your friends. The staff is very friendly. Our barista Christina is the bomb! You gotta try the Pressed Cuban sandwich!

Very nice atmosphere, coffee was good and inexpensive in comparison to other chains. While in Winter Haven i went back 3 times to this coffee house!
